I was extremely fortunate to witness the Wapiti wolf pack hunt a bison along the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. We watched the pack stick on the bison for over eight hours, with the pups doing most of the work. It was incredible, and I doubt I will ever experience it again.

Cave Falls, Wyoming. Cave Falls in near the Bechler Ranger Station right on the south-east corner of Yellowstone National Park. To get here, you either need to take a very rough and long unsealed road through Grand Teton National Park, or you cut through Idaho and head into the forest.
Cave Falls tumbles down the Fall River to Bechler Falls on Waterfall country. Bechler lies at the edge of 'Yellowstone’s extensive lava fields where drop-offs are the steepest and precipitation the heaviest. this area remains one of the least visited by tourists and much of it is still only accessible via hiking.
This is bear country which is what the small yellow sign on the picnic table is warning of.

Since coming to live in North West USA in 2015, I’ve been concentrating on my photography. Whilst I’m a wildlife photographer at heart, living in Jackson Hole Wyoming makes it impossible not to shoot landscape as well. And it’s virtually impossible to shoot a bad image here – I am proof of that!
Picnic tables became a theme for me by accident really. I started to shoot them as a record for places to remember to camp, but they appear in such beautiful pristine places, I decided to share them.
So here are the beginnings of my Picnic Table Book as my friend Marty called it. I hope I can shoot many more.
