I study the link between a toxin found in cyanobacteria and neurodegeneration, in particular, Alzheimer’s and ALS (MND). We have collaborators all over the world, including in Qatar where they have samples over 70% of the desert crust on the country.

These pics show us sampling cyanobacterial mats in the Inland Sea in Qatar.
